Software Engineer - High-Integrity

a TXT group company, is looking for Software Engineers who will be responsible for developing and testing critical software systems for unmanned aircraft. The successful candidates will be involved in a project to develop applications, middleware and infrastructure frameworks, ensuring functional integration and compliance with high-integrity certification standards.
Main Activities
- Definition of software requirements and updating of FSRS documentation;
- Development and validation of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models traceable to requirements;
- Automatic generation of C code and integration with manual code;
- Verification and validation (unit, integration and system) according to DO-178C / DO-331 standards;
- Preparation of test reports, coverage metrics and project deliverables.
Technical Skills Required
- Experience in developing high-integrity software and knowledge of standards: DO-178B/C, DO-331, certification methodologies and associated tools;
- Expertise in Model Based Engineering and MathWorks tools: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink V&V, Bug Finder, Code Prover;
- Knowledge of code and model complexity, data flow and control flow, finite state machines, events and conditions;
- Experience with C, C++ and assembly programming languages and aeronautical communication standards (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553);
- Knowledge of debugging tools using Instruction Set Simulator (ISS);
- Understanding of software processes and the V-model of development;
- Familiarity with quality standards and best practices (e.g. MISRA C, CMMI).
Education
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
The profile is completed by the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, aptitude for accurate and traceable documentation of results, problem-solving oriented towards complex and safety-critical systems.
