About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer / Engineering Manager with a strong background in industrial automation and digitalization , who will lead the development, integration, and execution of advanced automation solutions for our manufacturing operations.

This role is central to our Smart Factory vision: achieving full digitalization of quality controls and enabling end-to-end process self‑monitoring and auto‑setting across production lines.

You will join the Corporate Engineering department within Technology Innovation , working on strategic industrial technology projects and leading both people and cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Quality & Process Control

  • Lead the design and implementation of process control systems to ensure high-performance, stable, and efficient operations.
  • Develop and manage digital quality control systems , including:
  • Machine vision
  • Automated measurement and inspection tools
  • Digital quality certification
  • Drive projects involving self-monitoring and auto‑setting technologies to build autonomous, data-driven production systems.
  • Oversee the integration of MES and other OT systems , ensuring alignment with plant automation strategies.

Technology Innovation Projects

  • Act as a technical leader in industrial technology innovation initiatives across multiple plants
  • Lead the development and deployment of new digital and automation solutions supporting industrial efficiency and product quality
  • Lead development of digital twins, simulation and virtualization tools for design and smart operation.
  • Collaborate with Robotics, Intralogistics, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure cohesive project execution.

People Leadership & Project Direction

  • Manage a team of engineers and technical coordinators , ensuring skill development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams , where resources may not be direct reports, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment.
  • Coordinate external suppliers and partners when required.
  • Create and foster external network of Technologies and Industrial partners.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronics or similar).
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, process control, and digitalization of manufacturing systems.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with:
  • Process control systems
  • Digital quality control technologies
  • Vision systems and automated measurement systems
  • MES/OT/PLC systems design & integration
  • OT servers and network management
  • Proven experience leading projects and people in complex industrial environments.
  • Ability to conceptualize, architect, and implement advanced digital automation infrastructures.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in:
  • Robotics
  • Intralogistics automation
  • Machine hardware automation
  • Simulation and virtualization
  • Exposure to Smart Factory or large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 data architectures and industrial IT/OT convergence.
