About the role
Site Warehousing and Planning Director at the Aprilia site is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations including planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives and drives continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
Acts as Duty Holder for Workplace Transport and Warehouse Safety High severity risk.
This position is based at the Aprilia site. The role requires close collaboration with local and global teams to ensure supply chain excellence.
Key responsibilities
Manages all activities related to supply chain for the Aprilia Site. This would include performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors; Site Logistics and Distribution, Plant level demand driven scheduling and planning, Plant liaison to Direct Sourcing.
Manages 3-6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 30-70 employees within Supply Chain functions. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out leader responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsible for directing the planning, scheduling, and controlling of production and inventories. Procuring all materials and supplies to support the production plan and plant operations.
Ensure and manage adequate and effective warehousing facilities – control and direction to shipping and receiving / warehouse and distribution departments.
ake sure all Warehouse&Distribution operations are carried out according to GMP and EHS Haleon standards and policies as well as legal requirements (as “Dirigente della sicurezza”).
Partners with functions to include Manufacturing, Quality assurance, Human Resources, Engineering, and Finance to ensure execution plant production commitments.
Leads plant to ensure support for optimization of Global / Regional supply chain, and provides connection to Global / Regional Supply Chain organization via Supply planner and Regional planning contacts
Implementing plans and programs to provide best-in-class materials management systems and processes at the lowest possible costs. Accountable for all departmental P&W budgets and spending to meet or exceed business planning targets.
Responsible to ensure systems and controls to optimize MRP, forecasting, plant connections and information flow for S&OP, Item Master, Bill of Materials, Work center masters, etc.
Owns capacity management process as well as supplying detail inputs for capacity analysis and ensures consistent capacity assessments / asset allocation throughout plant.
Monitor key performance indicators and drive improvements in supply chain efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Promote adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
Support quality initiatives to ensure supply chain processes meet required standards.
Know, understand and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
Report unsafe conditions
Report on all injuries, illnesses and hazardous materials releases
Wear personal protective equipment
Attend EHS training programs
Follow all safe work procedures
Acts as Duty Holder for Workplace Transport and Warehouse Safety High severity risk.
Quality and compliance
Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.)
Adhere to QMS policy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain / operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain systems and ERP software.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and managing cross-functional teams.
