Offer Description

The research aims to develop an innovative and
sustainable system for wastewater treatment using
microalgal cultures of the genus Scenedesmus spp.,
integrated with advanced monitoring technologies and
predictive models based on artificial intelligence.
Following an interdisciplinary One Health approach, the
project seeks to optimize wastewater treatment
processes and microalgal biomass production, while
assessing its valorization through the extraction and
stabilization of bioactive compounds with potential
applications in nutraceuticals and preventive medicine.
Activities will include experiments on real matrices, nondestructive
monitoring systems, and the development of
predictive models, with particular attention to the safety,
quality, and sustainability of the processes and products
obtained.
