Stevanato Group is one of the world's largest providers of integrated containment and delivery solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry. To strengthen our growth, we are looking for a high-potential, people-oriented Simulation Engineer to support us on our path toward developing advanced technology solutions in the pharmaceutical domain. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to understand and simulate physical phenomena for strategic R&D projects. You will be responsible for implementing mathematical models involving multi-physical systems and materials and validating them using experimental data.

The role is based in Piombino Dese (Padova), where our HQs is located.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research and develop and implement mathematical models to describe complex multi-physical phenomena
  • Validate models with experimental data, collaborating with laboratory teams, analyse results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions
  • Collaborate closely with external partners and joint laboratories on model-based activities
  • Conduct fundamental or applied research to improve products, components, or applications.
  • Proactively define problems and translate industrial needs into mathematical models with a scientific yet pragmatic approach
  • Stay updated on latest simulation technologies and modelling techniques


Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy, Chemical, Material or Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of work experience
  • Deep knowledge of solid mechanics: numerical methods, particularly the implicit/explicit Finite Element Method (FEM) – Material modelling (at least basic constitutive models in continuum mechanics).
  • Good knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD): e.g., experience in develop and implement CFD and thermal simulation models
  • Experience with LS-Dyna software is a plus
  • Good knowledge of industry leading simulation software such as Ansys tools, in particular Mechanical and Fluent, is a plus
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB or Python is a plus
  • Quality-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English is a must
