About Flexcon

Flexcon is a specialized engineering firm based in Turin. We are the official Italian distributors for FlexSim and Visual Components , and we will also provide high-level consulting and support for AnyLogic.

Our work focuses on helping manufacturing companies optimize their processes through Discrete Event Simulation (DES), Emulation, and Robotics . We work also on integrating AI directly into our simulation workflows and expanding our expertise within the Autodesk Design and Make (D&M) ecosystem to develop smarter, more predictive Digital Twins.

The Role

As a Simulation Engineer, you will join our technical team to bridge the gap between industrial design, simulation, and Artificial Intelligence. You will design Digital Twins that integrate with the Autodesk D&M ecosystem, developing workflows where AI algorithms drive simulation workflows and provide real-time insights for complex industrial challenges.

  • AI, FlexSim, VisualComponents & D&M Integration : Develop workflows where Machine Learning models interact with simulation engines and data from the FlexSim platform, Autodesk Design and Make platform and VisualComponents platform.
  • Multi-Platform Modeling : Build models using FlexSim and Visual Components, leveraging AnyLogic for specific project requirements.
  • Digital Twin & Virtual Commissioning : Create testing environments for robotic cells and automated systems, ensuring alignment between design data and simulation.
  • Custom Development: Write custom libraries in C++, C#, Java, and Python to extend the capabilities of our simulation platforms and their connectivity with external tools.
  • T echnical Consulting : Provide clients with practical insights, professional training, and support on simulation-driven design.

Requirements

  • Language : Excellent proficiency in Italian (native or near-native level) is mandatory. Fluency in English is a must.
  • Location : Candidates must be based in or very close to Turin to ensure regular presence at our Mirafiori office.
  • Education : Master’s degree in a STEM field. We also welcome applications from students who are close to completing their Master’s degree.
  • Coding : Proficiency in C++ and/or Java; strong familiarity with Python is essential for AI integration.
  • Mobility : Valid driving license.

Thesis & Dissertation Opportunities : We also consider undergraduate candidates who are looking for a dynamic environment to develop their final thesis or dissertation on topics related to simulation, AI, and Industry 4.0.

Preferential Requisites

  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a basic knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM).
  • Data Science: Foundational understanding of statistics and experience in data analysis, relational databases (SQL), Machine Learning (ML), and Business Intelligence (BI).
  • DevOps & Version Control: Experience with Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Automation : Familiarity with PowerShell or similar automation tools.
  • D&M Ecosystem : Familiarity or interest in the Autodesk Design and Make workflow (e.g., integration with CAD/BIM data) is a significant plus.
