Network Services Leader

We are currently supporting an important client, a large multinational group operating in the consumer goods sector, with a strong global presence and a portfolio of brands distributed across more than 190 countries. In recent years, the organization has accelerated its digital transformation journey, focusing on modernizing IT infrastructure with particular emphasis on security, scalability, and operational efficiency. Cloud adoption, outsourcing of infrastructure services, and global network optimization are central to its technology strategy. The client works with international service providers and distributed teams across Europe and India, and is currently reviewing its network service management model in preparation for a new outsourcing agreement.

The client is initiating a strategic review of its network infrastructure in preparation for a new outsourcing contract with a global provider, set to begin in January 2026. The scope includes management of the internal network (switches, access points), firewalls, secure connectivity solutions, and a large-scale infrastructure refresh project involving the replacement and upgrade of network devices. The selected provider operates with a strong delivery presence in India and governance distributed across Europe.

The goal of the project is to establish a service management model that is effective, scalable, and performance-driven. The client aims to strengthen technical and operational governance by introducing a role that can lead the relationship with the provider in a structured and strategic way. The focus is not merely on delegation, but on building a framework where the provider is encouraged to take initiative in problem resolution, based on clearly defined and monitored SLAs. The consultant will be expected to ensure that processes are transparent, measurable, and aligned with service objectives, fostering a proactive and accountable collaboration with external teams.

Key services to be managed include global connectivity via cloud-based solutions, access control, perimeter security using next-generation firewalls, and oversight of the SD-WAN network. The infrastructure refresh project will require coordination across multiple regions and technologies. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing service providers in international environments. The position is full-time, open to candidates across Europe, with occasional travel to the client’s central office.

Future Horizons will supply a Network Services Lead who will support the client in managing and coordinating network services throughout the transition to the new outsourcing agreement. The consultant will be responsible for technical oversight, performance monitoring, and the implementation of a governance model that promotes proactive service delivery and autonomous issue resolution by the provider.

The role involves continuous interaction with distributed technical teams, operational leadership of the global network refresh project, and enforcement of service level agreements. The consultant will ensure that all activities are aligned with service goals, drive collaboration between stakeholders, and contribute to the optimization of operational processes.
