SENSOR HARDWARE OWNER - AVIATION DOMAIN

Job location: Turin Area


The Hardware Owner is responsible for the entirety of the sensor’s life cycle: to drive design solutions and implementation for components, electronic hardware, assemblies and subsystems of the electrical system, to liaise with independent organizations or suppliers to provide technical guidance on components and subsystems design, validation and technology accrual plan outlining and execution and to perform, with limited guidance, analysis and evaluation of the third parties’ deliverables compliance with product/program requirements and business standards, practices and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • To carry out trade-off, performance analysis and validation studies aiming at drawing the optimal electronic assembly/sub-assembly architectural solutions and detailed designs.
  • Supporting analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and components design & interface specifications.
  • To liaise with external suppliers for the design, support to production and sensor integration.
  • To understand system requirements and limitations to drive the sensor technical design.
  • To produce documentation whose purpose is to gather sensor requirements, design specifications, system integration specifics and interface requirements.
  • To support testing and validation activities, based on technology accrual and product development plans, of electrical components, complex assemblies and subsystems.
  • To liaise with the engineering team stakeholders in the execution of the project development, product definition, technology maturation activities.
  • To contribute to technical and program reviews.


Required skills

  • Master’s degree in Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of electronic/electrical components.
  • Ability to evaluate system requirements and translate them into sensor specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for business travels (short & long term travels).
  • Good knowledge of the English language, excellent knowledge of Italian language.


The ideal candidate also possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to autonomously organize in an efficient manner the assigned tasks, good team working skills and good oral and written communication skills.
