Amazon's Vendor Manager (VM) role involves monitoring industry trends, owning the P&L, developing category selection, delivering growth solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance the customer experience. VMs work with vendors of all sizes and represent Amazon at all leadership levels, across multiple internal teams to address customer experience issues within the category. Skills include data analytics, account management, brand development, and ad sales. You will work with e-commerce leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop analytical and problem‑solving skills to support vendor managers and other Amazonians, such as in‑stock and marketing functions.
- Build understanding of customer pain points, requirements, and potential value through advertising or merchant services.
- Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence.
- Learn Amazon's advertising or merchant services portfolio and culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve products, services, processes, systems, and tools.
- Work with cross‑functional teams, including category, product, and technical support teams, to implement improvement projects.
- Support vendor managers in providing a suite of services that support Amazon's strategic brands.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
- Experience driving internal cross‑team collaboration.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross‑functional teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
