We’re looking for an experienced Underwriting & Product Lead to help drive the development and management of our motor insurance portfolio in Italy. The role can be based in Milan or Sofia , and involves close coordination with distribution, actuarial, legal, and engineering teams across Europe.

Lead the design, execution, and continuous optimization of underwriting and product strategies for our motor insurance lines in Italy, with a strong focus on MTPL, Kasko, and cross-border compliance.

• Own the underwriting framework : Define and refine risk selection criteria, underwriting rules, and acceptance guidelines in collaboration with actuarial and portfolio teams
• Build and adapt motor products : Design coverage structures for MTPL, Kasko, and related products in line with legal, commercial, and operational realities
• Strengthen antifraud and cost control : Work with claims, legal, and IT teams to implement pre-bind fraud checks, automated risk flags, and process improvements
• Drive product filings : Prepare or support regulatory filings and documentation for IVASS, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
• Enable distribution success : Collaborate with brokers, platforms, and internal partners to ensure the product architecture supports our multichannel strategy
• Use data to improve outcomes : Monitor portfolio performance, run underwriting audits, and support the integration of data-driven underwriting tools

• 5-8 years of experience in motor insurance, with strong exposure to underwriting and product development
• Deep understanding of the Italian MTPL/Kasko environment and IVASS regulatory landscape
• Strong technical and analytical skills—able to collaborate effectively with actuaries and data teams
• Experience working with digital distribution partners, aggregators, or brokers in Italy
• Comfortable operating across functions and jurisdictions in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong project ownership and a hands-on approach
• Fluent in English and Italian; Bulgarian or other EU languages are a plus
