Senior Technical Consultant
As a Technical Consultant in SAP’s Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team, you will help customers transform their SAP system landscapes through high-impact data migration, transformation, and consolidation projects. Within this role, you also have the opportunity to apply your technical developer skills – by enhancing existing toolings while contributing to the shift toward more cloud-based development, both on the backend and frontend sides. You’ll work with SAP’s latest data transformation tools and methodologies, enabling our customers to move to SAP S/4HANA and the SAP Business Data Cloud efficiently, securely, and at scale.
You will do:
- Configure and operate SAP DMLT tools to execute data migration and data transformation activities across complex SAP environments.
- Deliver technical project execution, from data extraction and transformation design to validation and go‑live support.
- Perform system and feasibility analyses, supporting transformation scenarios such as system merges, carve‑outs, company code mergers, or selective data transitions.
- Identify customer needs in data consolidation and harmonization, and design the most effective architecture using the DMLT portfolio and SAP technology stack.
- Analyze and resolve issues during testing and execution phases, ensuring high‑quality and consistent results across global delivery teams.
- Develop technical expertise in SAP data structures and models (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, PM, etc.) and build proficiency in tools and processes that drive end‑to‑end transformations.
- Document best practices and methodologies, contributing to internal knowledge assets and enabling scaling through peer onboarding and mentoring.
- Lead or support customer workshops to validate transformation designs and explain technical implementation approaches.
- Collaborate with engagement architects, solution experts, and offshore delivery teams to ensure technical alignment and smooth project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, identifying automation opportunities, reusable assets, and enhancements to DMLT tools and approaches.
- Build trusted relationships with SAP internal stakeholders, regional delivery units, and customer technical teams to ensure transparency and success across all project phases.
What are we looking for:
- 3–5 years of technical experience in SAP consulting delivery or as a native developer, ideally within complex data migration, transformation, or landscape optimization projects.
- Experience in system consolidation or system merge scenarios is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP development, including debugging, performance optimization, and interface implementation.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA data models, particularly in the context of consolidation, harmonization, or transformation.
- Practical experience with SAP Data Migration tools, such as SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), or SAP Migration Workbench.
- Familiarity with one or more emerging SAP technologies, such as SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, SAP AI capabilities, or SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model.
- Process understanding across core business areas such as Lead‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Design‑to‑Operate, or Hire‑to‑Retire.
Business acumen:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value.
- High customer focus and result orientation, paired with a collaborative mindset, self‑motivation, and proactive networking.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel (10–30%) within your region or internationally.
- Experience working in international, cross‑functional teams and multicultural environments is a plus.
