For important client CPL & Taylor by Synergos Srl is seeking aSenior Strategic Buyer Manufacturing(Rif. CG-102B2)
Our Client is a multinational company, one of the world’s largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. His portfolio includes machinery and plants as well as advanced process technology, components and comprehensive services. The company has some importanti branches in nord Italy.
About the role We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented BUYER to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business. The buyer, reporting to the HEAD OF PROCUREMENT in the PROCUREMENT DIVISION, will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand. The SENIOR STRATEGIC BUYER should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget.
Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.
Role Responsibilities
Works closely with category managers of respective category and project procurement managers implementing the category strategy and linking it into the business
Adapts and implements catalogues and framework contracts on Divisional/ regional level in compliance with guidelines
Runs negotiations, awarding decisions and follow-up with suppliers, takes awarding decisions in line with category strategy
Executes supplier selection along strategy, requirements, supplier base development, and identification of new suppliers
Direct involvement in and solving of issues with suppliers (e.g., quality, delivery, and service issues), etc.
Research of new technologies, materials on request of other company functions (technical office, R&D, production office);
Monitors and communications performance of suppliers
Strives for automation and digitalization practices and tool improvement
Ensures cost, availability, innovation, and quality within the sourcing plan creation and execution
Ensures compliance with procurement process, policies, and other statutory requirements within category
Accountability of KPI’s as agreed by the line manager
Takes ownership of the work, successes, and mistakes
Very good communication skills
Negotiation Expert for Large and complex negotiations
Contract and contract framework experience
Commercial/analytical and engagement skills
Proactivity and result orientation
Availability for short trips
Knowledge of technical drawing
Excellent knowledge of Office and Excel;
Candidates from all over Italy will be considered and will be able to transfer their domicile near the company to Parma and its province
Key Accountabilities
Partner in designing increments of procurement strategy
Team leader operational and service manufacturing buyers
Proactive and value-added approach in the supply chain processes management and with stakeholders
Continuously optimizes procurement processes in scope of work
Continuous improvement of processes
We require
University, bachelor’s degree in engineering
Procurement or Supply chain Certification (optional)
English (fluent)
5+ years of experience in procurement processes
Profound background international contract management
Background in quality management
Solid cost analysis and management experience
Deep knowledge of design to cost project related to welded construction, CNC & Carpentry
Inter-Cultural Sensitivity
Experience with implementation of corporate procurement
Work experience in complex organizations
Profound negotiation experience across the supplier markets
Market analysis experience
Ability to network and build lasting relationships
Internal stakeholder /supplier relationship management
Very good analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and ability to think strategically
