JOB DESCRIPTION
Triage difficult to solve software problems from the field that affect the interaction between two or more Electronic Control Units (ECU).
To guide the Software Engineering and Electronic Hardware Engineering teams to the root cause responsible team within their organization.
Identify root cause and achieve rapid solutions on difficult to solve problems. .
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Reproduce and analyze SW field issues provided by the Stellantis Quality organization on benches, in test vehicles and in customer vehicles.
Deliver a solid root cause analysis (technical and systemic) enabling the SW and/or HW development teams to implement a robust issue resolution.
Track in-field effectiveness of the countermeasures taken (closed loop).
Apply advanced problem solving tools to resolve non-conformance issues.
Quickly and accurately frame issue(s), identify the problem(s), and provide effective resolutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience on problem solving using Shainin Red X and Kepner Tregoe problem solving methodologies.
- Preferable Knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Business or Statistics, other degrees with relevant work experience may be considered.
- Preferable Expertise in data analysis using statistical and spreadsheet software.
- Preferable Knowledge of brainstorming and concepting tools.
- Preferable Experience working on software and electrical components.
- Experience with debugging and logging tools e.g., Vector CANoe, Vehicle Spy, and ability to analyze logs.
- Experience with HW interfaces e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB.
- Ability to execute SW updates of ECUs.
- Technical knowledge of EE architectures and vehicle networks.
- Preferred: ISTQB certification.
