We are seeking a
Senior Solution Architect
to help
build and scale Alten Italy’s Telco transformation capabilities
in
Cloud, Automation, and Network Operations . This is not a role for maintaining the status quo—it’s a
build-up opportunity
within a high-potential growth initiative focused on
major telecom operators . You will play a key role in: Shaping Alten’s value proposition
in Telco Cloud and Network Automation. Supporting strategic bids
and engaging with senior client stakeholders. Transforming fragmented technical capabilities
into structured, credible offers. This role is ideal for someone who combines
deep architectural expertise ,
Telco domain knowledge , and the ambition to
build something meaningful from the ground up . Key Responsibilities
Define
solution architectures
in Telco Cloud, Network Automation, and related transformation domains. Translate
client needs
into structured solution approaches, delivery models, and value propositions. Contribute to the creation of
offer frameworks
and reusable architectural assets. Client & Engagement
Work closely with
Business Managers
and senior commercial stakeholders to strengthen Alten’s credibility in transformation discussions. Support
bid qualification, solution design, risk assessment, and costing logic . Engage with
client technical stakeholders , up to CTO/transformation leadership level. Ecosystem & Capability Development
Identify
ecosystem needs
and technology partnerships relevant to end-to‑end opportunities. Bridge
Engineering’s traditional network footprint
with higher-value, cloud-enabled, and automation‑led services. Act as an
internal reference point
for Cloud/Automation topics within the Telco perimeter. Technical Requirements
Must‑Have
8+ years of experience
in telecom, network transformation, cloud transformation, or adjacent technology consulting/architecture roles. Solid experience
in at least two of the following areas: Telco Cloud / NFV / CNF environments Cloud-native architectures SDN / virtualization / network programmability Operational automation in RAN / IP / Core domains OSS simplification/modernization Service orchestration/workflow redesign Legacy system transformation/migration Process digitization in Telco environments Proven experience in
solution design
for medium-to-large, complex environments. Ability to structure
end-to-end solution approaches , including: Operating model Strong understanding of
telecom operator environments
and constraints. Familiarity with
managed services, outsourcing, and SLA-based delivery models . Experience supporting
bids, RFP/RFQ responses, or complex pre‑sales cycles . Nice‑to‑have
Experience with
hyperscalers
(AWS, Azure, GCP) or hybrid cloud ecosystems. Knowledge of
Kubernetes / OpenShift / OpenStack
in Telco contexts. Exposure to
AIOps, observability, or data‑driven operations . Certifications in
cloud or automation platforms . Previous experience with
major operators or vendors in Italy or Europe . Move from technical contribution to strategic impact – Shift from execution to shaping Alten’s Telco transformation journey. Build a capability with market ambition – Help create a differentiated offering in Telco Cloud & Automation. Work in an entrepreneurial environment – More growth‑focused than a standard corporate architecture role. Own their trajectory – Enjoy initiative, ownership, and recognition for contributions. Be measured on business impact – Success isn’t just about delivery; it’s about market credibility and growth. What Success Looks Like
In the first 12 months, the person is expected to: Become a
credible architectural reference
on Telco Cloud & Automation. Support
qualification and shaping of priority opportunities . Contribute to
structured solutioning for key bids . Strengthen
client perception of Alten
as a mature transformation partner. The total comp for this position will be set in a range between 60.000 to 85.000 euros (Yearly gross salary + bonus).
