Senior/Software Maintenance Engineer - Red Hat Build of Keycloak (EMEA)

The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Senior/Software Maintenance Engineer to join us. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to ensure that our enterprise customers get the most out of our solutions. You will act as a trusted partner to our customers by offering developer-to-developer assistance for Red Hat Application Services open-source middleware software, delivering highly technical solutions to support technical requests, and contributing ideas through an open and collaborative team environment.

This position is remote/hybrid/onsite for entities in Poland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czechia.

What Will You Do

  • Diagnose problems, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to technical issues
  • Provide customers with a high-quality support experience
  • Engage and collaborate with in-house engineers and developers worldwide to promote creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the global Red Hat knowledge base by writing and publishing knowledge articles that deliver technical knowledge to customers and the community
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various topics and be a respected member of the global team
  • Continuously develop your skills and stay up to date with the latest technology trends
  • Contribute to the open-source community and to product code if you wish

What Will You Bring

  • Knowledge of SSO technologies including SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
  • Experience with application server solutions like JBoss, WildFly, or similar
  • Knowledge of LDAP servers such as Active Directory, Red Hat Directory Server, or other LDAP servers
  • Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI)
  • Familiarity with Java development, JDK utility tools or OpenSSL, and Java security technologies
  • Experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities, take initiative, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
  • Willingness to learn new open-source middleware technologies
  • Clear and effective English communication skills
  • Experience in Customer Support or consulting

The Following Are Considered a Plus

  • Experience with identity and access management solutions like Keycloak or similar OpenID Connect providers
  • Experience with JEE platform or Quarkus Framework and application server technologies (Web Services, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Hibernate, JMS, JEE Security, etc.)
