Location: Milan, Italy (MIND Area – Former Expo Area)

About the Opportunity

PEOITALY is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading international company operating in the Oil & Gas sector for a major construction project located in the MIND Milano Innovation District (former Expo area) in Milan .

We are looking for a Senior Site Planner who will be responsible for the development, monitoring, and control of the project schedule, ensuring alignment between planned activities and on-site progress throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and periodically update the project schedule for the assigned construction project, reporting directly to the Project Control Manager.
• Coordinate the on-site planning team and support operational planners in the execution of planning activities.
• Prepare the Level IV detailed project schedule based on activities and quantities defined by the Technical Office.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Control Manager to monitor progress, identify deviations from the baseline schedule, and propose corrective actions.
• Interface with internal departments (Technical Office, Procurement, and Construction teams) to ensure accurate and timely monitoring of the project schedule.
• Supervise the preparation of daily site reports and produce periodic progress reports (weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly).
• Estimate manpower requirements for project activities, collect actual data, and compare results against the planned schedule, highlighting deviations when necessary.
• Collaborate with the Cost Controller to support the preparation of the Cost Control Report, typically on a quarterly basis.
• Continuously update the Planning Leader on project progress, highlighting key risks, criticalities, and opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planner on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including pivot tables and large data management.
• Professional experience with Oracle Primavera P6 .
• Fluency in Italian .
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (civil drawings, mechanical isometrics, PFD/P&ID diagrams, and electrical single-line diagrams) is considered a strong plus.
• Knowledge of English is considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Diploma as Geometra .

• Salary: Based on the experience
• Daily meal allowance:
• €30/day for candidates relocating from outside Milan
• €15/day for candidates based in Milan
• Accommodation provided for non-local candidates.
• Travel to/from the project location covered.
• Work rotation: 45 days ON / 5 days OFF (Monday–Friday working schedule).
