Job Purpose/Role
Based in Milan and reporting to the Risk Engineering Team, you will develop and execute the strategy for Constructions and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market. You will support the local strategy to achieve Allianz Mid Corporate targets and serve as the contact for agents/brokers working with the Risk Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
Steer and control the local portfolio in conjunction with the Head of Engineering to drive financial targets.
Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of the end‑to‑end underwriting life cycle.
Work closely with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross‑selling.
Ensure underwriting consistency and discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products.
Support new business acquisition and retention of existing business, including agent and broker negotiations.
Communicate local business strategy externally.
Key Requirements / Skills / Experience
Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering.
8 to 15 years of proven experience underwriting profitable Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks and Engineering Professional Firms.
Proven leadership skills.
Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of the policy administration life cycle.
Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills.
Experience designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings.
Experience driving underwriting projects.
Entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong communication skills.
Able to work in an international organization.
Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).
Experience with data analytics.
Very good knowledge of Office 365 and other collaborative tools.
Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, the salary range for this position is €60,000–€75,000 gross.
Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement.
Both genders may apply in accordance with the L. 903/77 (s.m.i).
