As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to ensure our products continue to meet the highest industry standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
The Role As our Senior QA/QC Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our quality management and control processes. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from raw material inspection and welding compliance to final testing of our steam generators and pressure parts. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all equipment complies with international codes (such as PED and ASME) and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Inspection & Testing: Develop, review, and execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for steam generators and related components.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with European and international standards, specifically the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), EN, and ASME codes.
- Welding & NDT: Oversee welding procedures (WPS/PQR), welder qualifications, and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
- Supplier Quality: Conduct vendor audits, evaluate supplier performance, and inspect incoming raw materials and components.
- Issue Resolution: Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), conduct root cause analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Documentation: Compile and review final Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDR) and quality dossiers for clients and regulatory bodies.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in QA/QC engineering, specifically within the boiler, pressure vessel, or heavy mechanical manufacturing sectors (experience with WTE plants is a strong plus).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of PED, ASME (BPVC), and EN manufacturing standards.
- Certifications: Welding Inspector certification (e.G., IWI, CSWIP) and/or NDT Level II/III qualifications are highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills to guide production teams on quality standards.
- Languages: Native/Fluent Italian and a strong command of technical English.
