(Senior) Property Underwriter – Italy

Join Sompo’s Milan office as a Senior Property Underwriter. Work closely with the Head of Property for Italy to grow our local portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

• Contribute the positioning of Sompo as an increasingly significant player in the local Property market.
• Assist the LOB Manager in the optimization and control of Domestic and Multinational Property portfolio.
• Innovate and contribute to the development of a forward-thinking local underwriting strategy.
• Share with other company functions experiences that can contribute Sompo to enhance underwriting processes.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with key brokers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to fuel growth.
• Support the development of Property products.
• Collaborate on defined projects in a growing and friendly team.
• Foster a culture of innovation by actively sharing ideas within the Continental Europe Property community.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Proven track record in underwriting profitable businesses.
• Excellent networking and relationship skills with clients and brokers.
• Sound knowledge of the local Property market.
• Deep knowledge of multinational programs processes.
• Professional and proactive attitude.
