Senior Project Technical Manager

Leap29 are currently assisting a global Solar PV company who are hiring for a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their team in Italy. My client oversees everything from project development and financing to construction, operation, and maintenance, all the way to energy management.

The successful candidate will oversee and manage grid connection and authorisation processes for renewable projects, with responsibility for preparing and managing all documentation required for authorisation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and creating all the necessary documents to authorise renewable energy plants, including environmental studies, authorisations, and regulatory analysis for hydrogen plants, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and photovoltaic projects.
• Evaluate and assess grid connection options, considering technical, financial, and regulatory factors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of grid connection activities within project timelines.
• Report to the Head of Asset Development department and the Managing Director of the country unit.
• Maintain an understanding of and stay updated on current authorisation procedures in Italy.

Requirements:

• Good level of English
• Experience with programs such as AutoCAD, Excel, Outlook, Google Earth, Teams, PV Syst, and QGIS
• Thorough understanding of the Italian National Electricity Rules
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to align individual and team objectives with company objectives
