Opportunity

Arup’s expertise in data centre design and construction means we set new standards for sustainability and innovation. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects that drive a zero‑carbon future for critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients, build trust and ensure their needs are met on time through effective communication.
• Lead and manage multiple large capital projects from design through commissioning.
• Lead project teams in multidisciplinary projects at all levels of design and construction.
• Identify and manage project risks, develop clear mitigation strategies and proactively address challenges during the project lifecycle.
• Gain stakeholder alignment and approval at the beginning of the project cycle.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Plan and manage project schedules and quality; maintain the project’s cost report and participate in its development throughout the project.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on site for residential or industrial projects that include critical infrastructure for data centres, pharmaceutical, biotech, petrochemical or similar environments.
• Proven experience in project and construction management; customer focused, self‑motivated, and flexible.
• In‑depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices.
• Experience with construction procurement methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of building planning.
• Ability to realise complex projects with accurate budget planning.
• Strong communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
• Fluency in both Italian and English.
