As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide expert-level project management and project support for construction projects across various stages and sectors—from concept design to construction completion.

You will be responsible for creating project execution plans, project programmes, risk registers and day to project administration, working independently or managing a team, depending on project size and scope. You will partner with a diverse set of clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional value, acting as a trusted advisor and helping to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Manage small to medium-sized projects independently and support larger programmes.
  • Lead full project management processes across the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders, support contractor selection and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
  • Manage risk, value engineering, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Chair project meetings and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Support business development, bid preparation, and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members and begin providing leadership support.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Strong client-facing skills with ability to negotiate, influence, and deliver results.
  • Solid technical project management expertise (risk, planning, change, reporting).
  • Ability to manage complex challenges with resilience and sound judgement.
  • Strong leadership potential with emerging team management capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and forward planning ability.
  • High integrity, flexibility, and ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience, including at least 3 years post qualification.
  • Professional accreditation such as MAPM, MRICS, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
  • Proven experience with standard contract forms (JCT and NEC).
  • Experience delivering complex projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of HS&E legislation and compliance.
  • Experience managing people and multiple project priorities.
  • Awareness of industry developments such as BIM, Soft Landings and Agile Project Management.
