Brightsmith is supporting an international renewable energy company to hire a Senior Engineering Manager in Italy. The company develops and operates wind, solar, energy storage and power-to-X projects across Europe and is now growing its presence in the Italian market.
This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position in the technical development of renewable energy projects in Italy — working within a collaborative, fast-growing environment that combines local knowledge with strong international expertise.

• Involvement across the full lifecycle – from site screening and feasibility to ready-to-build

Key Responsibilities
• Support origination and development teams with site and constraints analysis
• Prepare and optimise project layouts and energy yield assessments
• Coordinate technical input from internal experts and external consultants
• Manage met campaigns and contribute to grid connection strategy and design
• Liaise with GIS analysts and review geospatial data for project feasibility
• Provide technical support through permitting and up to construction handover
• Ensure compliance with technical, environmental and safety standards
• Contribute to general project management activities within a small team
Who We Are Looking For
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy project engineering (wind and/or solar PV)
• Background in mechanical, electrical or renewable energy engineering
• Proven experience across the project lifecycle from feasibility to ready-to-build
• Familiarity with layout design, yield analysis and grid connection processes
• Comfortable coordinating consultants and working with internal technical centres
• Experience in small or medium-sized developers preferred
• Hands-on, adaptable, and able to manage varied tasks in a small team environment
• Fluent in Italian and Good levels of English for international internal communications
• Based in Milan with limited travel within Italy
