We’re supporting a major, well-funded solar developer with an established and fast-growing European platform.
As part of their continued expansion in Italy, they’re looking to appoint a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale solar PV projects, from origination through to financial close.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of utility-scale solar PV projects in Italy
- Manage projects from origination through permitting, grid connection and financial close
- Oversee land acquisition, environmental assessments and technical studies
- Manage permitting processes and engagement with local authorities and grid operators
- Identify and mitigate environmental, technical and regulatory constraints
- Coordinate internal teams and external advisors across development milestones
- Support handover of projects into construction and delivery teams
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience developing utility-scale solar PV projects in Italy
- Proven experience across land acquisition, permitting, grid connection and environmental constraints
- Strong understanding of technical constraints and development risk
- Technical background, with an engineering degree or similar
- Experience with BESS projects is a strong advantage
- Based in Rome or willing to relocate
- Fluent Italian and English
