Senior Project Developer – Data Centers & Renewables

Location: Milan, Italy


We’re looking for an experienced Project Developer to lead the development of large-scale data center projects across Italy and Western Europe. This is a hands-on role, taking projects from site identification through to ready-to-build, with a particular focus on power strategy and grid connections.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure sites for data center projects, either greenfield or through co-development with partners.
  • Lead grid connection applications and work with utilities to secure capacity.
  • Structure and negotiate PPAs and other power supply agreements to ensure projects are supported by long-term renewable energy.
  • Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Coordinate technical, legal, and financial inputs to build robust business cases and present to investment committees.
  • Negotiate development agreements, EPC and O&M contracts where required.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, procurement, and finance teams as well as external stakeholders including investors, network operators, and local authorities.


Requirements:

  • Proven track record in project development within data centers, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure.
  • Experience leading projects through early-stage development, permitting, grid connection and PPA negotiation.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding of development economics.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent Italian and English; other European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy and occasionally across Europe.
