Senior Project/Construction Manager

Overview

Hill International is hiring for a Project and Construction Manager for our main office in Rome, Italy. Presence on-site during construction will be required. As Construction Manager, you will ensure projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by developing and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project cost and timelines. Your responsibilities will span all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction and handover activities.
• Administer project construction contracts and coordinate the efforts of contractors.
• Handle permitting and engage with utility agencies and inspecting authorities.
• Follow up on all contracted deliverables and ensure quality assurance of the work performed by contractors.
• Enforce the application of appropriate technical standards throughout the project.
• Oversee contractors\' scheduling, conduct and document construction meetings (including progress, safety, and inspections) and distribute meeting minutes.
• Coordinate the application and approval process for permits and approvals required for the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of construction management experience
• Excellent level of English
• Proven construction management experience in the hotel/hospitality or retail sector
• Proven planning skills (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project)
• Experience with Power BI for project reporting with dashboards is a plus
• Professional accreditation (PMI/PRINCE2/AGILE or equivalent, LEED, or BREEAM) is a plus
• Driver license required
• Workplace is in Rome with presence on project sites required within Italy
