About the company:
For an independent technology group and a leading provider of core software systems and digital transformation solutions for the European insurance market, we are looking for a Senior Program Manager IT to take end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-country insurance transformation programs.
This role combines program governance, product mindset, and strong delivery execution, with full responsibility from requirements definition to deployment and production stabilization. The position operates in an international context, managing cross-functional technical teams and senior stakeholders across 6+ countries.
About the role:
As a Senior IT Program Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for the governance and execution of large-scale insurance IT programs, acting as the strategic interface between business objectives and technology delivery. Proven knowledge of P&C or Life & Savings is a mandatory requirement.
You will:
- Own the program E2E: requirements → development → testing → deploy → production
- Manage complex, multi-stream initiatives with strong governance and reporting
- Lead and coordinate external stakeholders, Technical Leaders, and Development Teams
- Combine project execution and product development responsibilities
- Ensure alignment between local needs and central technology capabilities
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Program Management
- Product & Delivery Leadership
- Technical & Team Coordination: lead developers, technical leaders, architects, and application teams throughout the entire delivery chain
- Governance & performance management
- Act as senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including technology partners and local business teams.
- Demand, Architecture & Development Oversight
- Requirements interpretation and validation
- Supervision of testing and acceptance phases
- Alignment with architecture, security, and regulatory standards
- Oversight of application development and maintenance
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong insurance domain knowledge – P&C or Life & Savings (must have)
- 10-15+ years of experience experience in complex IT multi-countries projects
- Solid technical background with core insurance systems
- Core insurance platforms (i.e Policy, Claims, Distribution)
- Cloud/SaaS delivery models
- Agile & DevOps methodologies
- Security, data governance, and system integration
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
