Senior Product Manager – In-Store Payments
Location: Austin, Dallas, San Antonio – H‑E‑B
Overview
H‑E‑B Digital Technology is investing heavily in digital experience to empower customers, partners, and suppliers. This role is a critical part of the digital product ecosystem, delivering world‑class payment solutions to enhance the in‑store experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for in‑store payment systems, ensuring a compelling digital experience for retail customers and partners.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, define product vision, and drive cross‑functional execution.
- Drive project planning, roadmap construction, and stakeholder communication to meet product goals.
- Integrate third‑party processors, acquirers, or middleware while maintaining PCI compliance, fraud prevention, and operational realities.
- Mentor and coach junior product managers or analysts as needed.
- Own product metrics, data analysis, and financial impact assessments to inform decisions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management/engineering experience in retail, finance, or technology.
- Deep understanding of payment flows (authorization, settlement, reconciliation) across multiple tender types.
- Experience with PCI compliance, fraud prevention, and payments in physical retail environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and Agile/Scrum skills.
- Proven ability to work across hardware and software teams, including integration with third‑party vendors.
- Comfortable navigating legacy systems while driving modernization.
Preferred Background
- Experience owning product strategy for in‑store payment systems or point‑of‑sale platforms at scale.
- Formal degree or comparable training in relevant field.
- Advanced knowledge of customer‑voice techniques and product management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
