Youman , an executive search and recruitment company, is supporting one of its key clients in the search for a Senior Presales Engineer to drive business development in the Italian market.


Our client is an international leader in advanced software solutions for the public transportation industry (B2B Saas), with a strong presence across more than 30 countries. They help transport operators and authorities optimize their resources efficiently and sustainably, providing cutting-edge tools to make public transport services more cost-effective, reliable, and focused on passengers’ needs.


About the Role

As a Senior Presales Engineer , you will act as the key technical link between the sales team and potential clients. Your goal is to deeply understand each client’s requirements, design tailored solutions using the company's products, and support the sales process with solid technical expertise. You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure that proposed solutions are viable, scalable, and aligned with customer objectives.


What You’ll Do

• Accompany Account Executives in client meetings to understand technical and business requirements.

• Deliver customized product presentations, demos, and technical sessions.

• Design solution architectures that integrate the products with the client’s existing systems.

• Create technical proposals, presentations, functional design documents, and respond to RFPs/RFIs.

• Conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and assist with basic integrations when needed.

• Gather client feedback and relay it to product and engineering teams.

• Stay up to date with product and industry developments.

• Participate in trade shows, webinars, and demand generation activities as technical-commercial support.


Your Skills and Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Previous experience as a presales engineer, technical consultant, solutions engineer, or in similar roles within a software environment. Experience in SaaS environments is highly valued.

• Strong technical knowledge: REST APIs, cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP), databases, DevOps; ideally within the public transportation sector.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

• High level of English (spoken and written).

• Experience with demo tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.) is desirable.
