Senior Oracle Database Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. This is a permanent position based in Milan or Bari, Italy.

The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of Oracle technology and be capable of handling complex issues independently, providing resolutions within agreed service level agreements (SLAs). Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure customer delight and adhere to policies and procedures.

The job holder will be responsible for production support to Oracle databases and work as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team. Key responsibilities include :

• Performing root cause analysis and providing permanent fixes
• Investigating and providing solutions to database performance-related issues
• Leading database teams in crisis calls and participating in maintenance and incident resolution (MIR) and problem management initiative (PIR) calls

The successful candidate will also have experience in maintaining complex high availability replication setups, providing consultancy for complex setups, and disaster recovery. They will identify automation and self-healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.
