Senior Operating System Engineer - Kernel / Linux / OS / Automotive

We're working with a true leader in research, development, and innovation, and we are looking for highly experienced Senior Operating System Engineers with experience in Linux Kernel development/OS Development.

For this role, you will be designing and optimizing linux kernel and OS components, designing and implementing software solutions for next gen cockpits and autonomous driving systems, performing low level tuning and things such as CPU, GPU etc and also optimizing embedded AI applications.

This is a full-time, permanent position and pay will be base salary plus bonus, amount depending on experience level.

The position is based on-site in Pisa, Italy, however, we are also open to you working from the Milan office for most of the month with a visit once a month to Pisa for a few days. It will still be an on-site position.

Budgets are between €70,000-€95,000 base + bonus.

For this Senior Operating System Engineer position, I'm interested in speaking to people with the following:

- Must have minimum of Masters degree

- Around 4-5+ years industry experience

- Experience with linux development / Linux Kernel and or Linux Drivers

- Experience with C or C++ and developing new features

- Experience with low level optimization for embedded systems

- Automotive software development / architecture design experience
