Experteer Overview

In this role you drive growth for Illumina’s oncology portfolio across Italy, serving as a trusted technical advisor to clinicians and researchers. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to accelerate adoption of genomics‑based cancer solutions, shaping strategic account plans and engaging key stakeholders. You’ll translate complex oncology workflows into actionable value for customers, contributing to Illumina’s mission of advancing precision oncology. This position offers meaningful impact by expanding access to cutting‑edge diagnostics and forging strong collaborations with labs, doctors, and industry leaders.

  • Achieve and exceed oncology sales targets through new accounts, expanded relationships, and positioning Illumina as partner of choice
  • Develop and execute business plans targeting early adopters, strategic labs, and clinical accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with oncologists, molecular pathologists, laboratory directors, and KOLs
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Channel Partners, and cross‑functional teams to qualify leads and close sales
  • Demonstrate and communicate complex oncology workflows (NGS, liquid biopsy, companion diagnostics, biomarkers) to diverse stakeholders
  • Provide training and enablement materials and deliver impactful presentations at events
  • Build and manage a robust oncology opportunity pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts via CRM
  • Lead and contribute to cross‑functional projects with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Market Access, and Government Affairs
  • Capture customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Represent Illumina at oncology congresses, tradeshows, and conferences in Italy and Southern Europe

Responsabilità

  • Bachelor’s degree (required); MSc/PhD in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related field strongly preferred
  • Proven sales experience in oncology with track record of growing accounts
  • Strong technical knowledge of oncology workflows including molecular biology, genomics, and NGS
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to network across organizational levels and build long‑term KOL relationships
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with strong customer focus
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Willingness to travel ~60% (Italy with occasional trips to Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece)
