We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer
Senior Network Engineer's Profile and Responsibility:
The colleague will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing complex network infrastructures to ensure high availability, security and performance across all company systems.
Main Areas of Responsibility/Main Activities:
- Network Design & Implementation: plan, design, and implement network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and cloud connectivity, to meet organizational goals.
- Maintenance & Optimization: ensure the network is reliable, fast, and secure by installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware, software, and security measures.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution: diagnose and resolve complex network performance issues, hardware failures, and software problems.
- Security Management: implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virus protection.
- Documentation & Reporting: produce detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and status reports.
- Leadership & Mentoring: lead and mentor junior network engineers and collaborate with IT teams on project planning and implementation.
- Technology Evaluation: research and evaluate new networking technologies, tools, and protocols to improve network efficiency and security.
Candidate’s Experience and Qualifications Required:
- At least 5 years' experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting L3 protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting L2 protocols (Vlan, STP, VTP, L2TP, etc.)
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting wireless networks.
- Experience in configuring and managing Cisco (ASA-Firepower FTD) and Fortinet.
- Excellent knowledge of Cisco devices in the NEXUS, Catalyst 9000 and ISR/ASR/CSR router families.
- Excellent knowledge of Dell-Swich devices.
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of network solutions in the data centre environment: VTEP, VXlan, BGP L2vpn EVPN.
- Basic/intermediate knowledge of SDN solutions (VMware NSX-T).
- Familiarity with virtual environments (DvS, VM creation, VM import/export, Cloudstak, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Network Security (Firewall, VPN, IPS, WAF, NGFW, Threat prevention, etc.) with proven experience in the following technologies/brands: Cisco, Fortinet.
- Any Cisco CCNP or Fortinet certifications will be considered a plus.
Candidate’s Skills and Personal Qualities Required:
- Willingness to travel to our abroad offices (UK, Belgium and Germany).
- Previous work experience in international teams.
- Excellent knowledge of English.
