About This Role

Biogen is looking for a National Senior Medical & Scientific Liaison Manager (Sr MLM) preferably based in Lombardy.

The Sr Medical Liaison Manager Pipeline acts as an SME and strategic medical‑scientific partner fostering trusted relationships with Key Medical Experts and other relevant stakeholders to exchange accurate and non‑promotional scientific information. The role drives the medical‑scientific contribution to the pipeline strategy by developing local medical plans that identify opportunities to improve standards of care and supporting the implementation of national treatment guidelines.

He/she will ensure internal and external training on Biogen’s future products and therapeutic areas under their responsibility contributes to medical education activities and supports clinical research initiatives, including IIRs/ITs, CRs and registries. The Sr MLM also provides insights to pipeline cross‑functional teams, supports the development of reimbursement dossiers, and ensures that all scientific communications comply with local regulations.

  • Develop and implement local medical plans for strategic pipeline contributions.

Required Skills

  • Masters degree or advanced qualification in biomedical, medical or pharmaceutical disciplines (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent).
  • At least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Medical Affairs or Clinical Research.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Medical‑scientific expertise in Immunology.
  • Basic knowledge of Health Economics.
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Legal and Compliance.
