Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Manufacturing and Services for the Electronics and Technology Industry

The role


For an important project for one of our partner clients, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a new electro-mechanical medical device.


Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to deliver the mechanical design of a new electro-mechanical medical device, directly interfacing with the customer
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including New Product Introduction, Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Testing and other relevant functions
  • Contribute to project development by proposing time- and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Prepare high-quality technical documentation and reports, supported by simulations and/or laboratory testing
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and industry trends, maintaining close collaboration with suppliers and vendors
  • Actively participate in design reviews and technical assessments throughout the product development lifecycle


Requirements

  • MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in detailed development of Medical Devices or Combination Products
  • Strong expertise in dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T knowledge considered a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in CREO and/or SolidWorks
  • Solid knowledge of Design for Manufacturing principles, particularly for injection molding and high-volume production
  • Experience with Design for Assembly methodologies
  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Knowledge of Design Control, Risk Management, Design Verification & Validation (V&V), and Process Validation
  • Ability to define measurement and control strategies for high-volume manufacturing
  • Experience in prototyping and production of test samples
  • Strong collaborative attitude and team-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
