Senior Linux System Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to be included in our team.

The person will be responsible for projects for the installation, configuration and maintenance of HPC systems on GNU/Linux distributions.

He/she must also be able to define and configure all the hardware and software components of an HPC architecture (servers, low‑latency networks, storage, queue managers, etc.).

The candidate will collaborate with our experts to identify advanced solutions, install and configure commercial and open source applications, study and improve application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide user training.

Skills and Experience

Essential skills

• Over 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Excellent knowledge of Italian and English (at least B2).
• Experience in managing service desk tools.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux systems (RedHat EL, SLES, etc.) Preferred requirement: Linux certification
• Networking: Switching, VLAN, FireWall
• Storage system management in a heterogeneous Linux/Windows environment
• Administration and maintenance of remote viewing on systems
• Programming Languages: Shell Script and Python

Technical skills and experience

• Storage Management and Maintenance: DDN, NetApp, Isilon, Qumulo
• Basic knowledge of the main relational databases (MySQL, OST, Postgres)
• Knowledge of DELL, HP or Lenovo Server platforms and engineering of Linux-based solutions on these platforms
