We are seeking a Legal Senior Manager to oversee legal affairs and manage external counsel, based in our Italian subsidiary.

We are a leading EPC company in engineering, procurement, and construction of large-scale photovoltaic plants, supporting clients throughout the solar project lifecycle with a sustainable approach.

Role Overview

The Senior Legal Manager will oversee legal compliance, manage contractual frameworks (EPC, O&M), handle regulatory and permitting issues, legal due diligence, corporate governance, and litigation. The role involves leading a small legal team and coordinating with external law firms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the internal legal team and external counsel.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex contracts, including EPC, O&M, land lease, purchase agreements, rights of way, surface rights, joint ventures, NDAs, and framework agreements.
  • Support project development, permitting, engineering, and finance teams with legal advice.
  • Manage legal due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects and project financing.
  • Oversee legal aspects of partnerships.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
  • Handle disputes and litigation, including arbitration.

Requirements

  • MANDATORY: 3-5 years of legal experience in EPC, IPP, photovoltaic energy, utilities, or top-tier law firms in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, civil, administrative, and energy law.
  • Experience in international contracting and leading legal teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
