We are currently offering an exciting role to expand our legal team in Europe. As
Senior Legal Counsel Europe
you will be a key member of our European team and will play an important role in the acceleration of JinkoSolar’s growth in our key markets across the region. Reporting to the General Counsel Europe, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, conducting legal research and executing a wide variety of agreements and legal documents in several jurisdictions across Europe. Moreover, you will provide effective legal advice in the implementation of policies and processes, as well as advise on legal risks and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. This role will give you the chance to work in a multicultural environment and expose you to a wide range of topics in several European jurisdictions, making it a valuable opportunity of professional growth.
Tasks
- Draft and review commercial agreements on a variety of topics, such as NDAs, LOIs, Framework Agreements, and Module Supply Agreements. Draft and review statements, legal letters and correspondence;
- Provide legal advisory and conduct risk assessment exercises in contract negotiations and day-by-day business;
- Support the implementation of regulatory requirements into company policies and processes;
- Take the lead in developing contract and document templates;
- Manage compliance matters and other legal related topics;
- Assist with litigations, claims, disputes, mediations and arbitrations across the region, when needed;
- Manage day-by-day legal matters arising out of the business;
Your profile
- Juris Doctor Degree from a European university. Post graduate education such as LL.M. is a plus;
- 6-8 years of experience in an international fast-paced corporate legal department or international law firm. Experience or understanding of the solar industry is required;
- Excellent drafting skills. Capability to grasp complex matters of various nature and deliver efficient and practical solutions. Knowledge of both civil law and common law legal systems is an asset;
- Understanding of the mechanisms of the development of solar projects, construction, O&M and project financing is a strong plus;
- Impeccable integrity and professional ethics;
- Hands-on practical approach and problem-solving attitude;
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, including capability to grasp and simplify for a non-legal audience complex concepts of legal nature;
- Impeccable fluency of both spoken and written English. German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish are a plus;
- Available to reasonably travel across the region or internationaly, when the circumstances require it;
