Role overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is interested in taking their next step within the corporate sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join our energetic, fast paced and dynamic organization on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will need to have at least +5 years of experience in commercial marine Underwriting, excellent technical skills and networking capabilities, organizational and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail. If you have the right ability, drive and attitude, then DUAL is the place for you.
This new position within our team allows the opportunity to work within a fun and results orientated team.
The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt well to change, prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks, whilst also having the confidence and curiosity to challenge new ideas.
Role responsibilities
- Actively manage all incoming submission for renewal and new business.
- Manage relations with brokers and clients & travel to visit existing clients as well as find potential new opportunities
- Track results including hit ratios, lost business, and profitability against goals defined by your Line Manager
- Provide guidance and task delegation to team members as well as assist in the training and development of other team members by sharing your expertise and supporting skill development.
- Attend industry events, stay informed on market trends, and deepen product expertise in Hull coverage areas
- Work with internal and external claims resources to ensure coordinated claims handling and client support
- Problem solve and looking for solutions, liaising with the Claims/Finance team when required
- Liaise with the other DUAL Group functions when required.
