Senior Grid Connection Manager

Location: Italy (remote / hybrid to an Italian office)

The Opportunity:

Our client is an international renewable energy business with a growing portfolio of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across Italy. They are looking for an experienced Grid Connection Manager to lead all grid-related activities across the project lifecycle, acting as the key interface between developers, EPC contractors and Italian network operators. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded business delivering large-scale renewable energy projects in one of Europe's fastest-growing markets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage grid connection activities for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Coordinate with Italian TSOs, DSOs and other key stakeholders.
• Lead grid-related discussions throughout development, construction and commissioning.
• Review electrical designs and ensure compliance with grid requirements.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers and network operators.
• Support technical due diligence on project acquisitions.
• Provide technical input during project development, permitting and construction.
• Monitor project progress and resolve grid-related technical issues.

Requirements:

• 5 years'+ experience within renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian grid connection process.
• Experience working with Italian network operators (TSOs/DSOs).
• Understanding of HV electrical infrastructure and grid connection assets.
• Experience across utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
• Fluent Italian and English.
• Electrical Engineering background is advantageous but not essential.
