Senior Financial Controller

At Exein , our mission is to build the world’s first ecosystem for IoT device security , protecting millions of devices worldwide. As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Senior Financial Controller to strengthen and structure our finance function.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong accounting foundations with hands-on experience in management control and wants to play a key role inside a fast-growing tech company.

About the role

You will take ownership of management control and accounting , working closely with the Finance Manager and leadership team to ensure financial rigor while supporting strategic decision-making.

You’ll operate at the intersection of financial reporting, accounting, and performance analysis , helping us build scalable financial processes in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage management control and accounting processes across the company.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle , ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes .
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, KPIs, and cost structures , supporting leadership with data-driven insights.
• Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting systems .
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support the Finance Manager on cash flow monitoring, planning, and financial analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in audit at a Big Four firm , at least at Senior Auditor level .
• Subsequent experience in management control / Financial Controller roles .
• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting .
• Ability to work autonomously and bring structure to a fast-growing environment .
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
• Professional proficiency in English and Italian .

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or tech companies .
• Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics and recurring revenue models .
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite .
