Overview
Amazon Digital Services Private Limited seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead function/category specific finance activity. The analyst will serve as a finance partner to the relevant business team, driving key metrics, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial reporting and provide monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasts.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial closing activities in close coordination with business and accounting teams.
- Monitor and control the OPEX budget, evaluate OPEX requirements, and benchmark cost productivity.
- Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
- Measure and report progress on key goals for the business team in a timely manner.
- Monitor metrics for new business initiatives.
- Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews and facilitate reviews with data analysis, following up with business leaders on actionable items.
- Conduct ad‑hoc business analyses, perform financial modeling, and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and future initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
- 4+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a comparable degree and 5+ years of quantitative experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Advanced experience with SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei or as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects that scaled and improved controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
