Fiskars is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be delivering and coordinating the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for Fiskars Italy according to defined guidelines. You will also be the first point of contact for the Italian team, being a local representative of Global Shared Services.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering and coordinating the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting
• Driving robust compliance routines and effective financial processes.
• Accountability for the provision of all financial and accounting services relating to defined Sales Unit area.
• Developing and harmonizing our financial delivery processes and tools
• Acting as the first point of contact for legal / business operating model cases.
• Coordinating audit and taxation issues with accountability for rebate agreements, deductions and credit control process.
• Coordinating, executing and updating internal authorization policies including credit policies and secure financial reconciliations and contact with vendors and customers.

What we are looking for

• Five+ years of experience as Chief Accountant or a similar role, preferably from consumer goods sector.
• Good understanding of the accounting processes and standards
• Hands on experience within statutory reporting, working with auditors and tax authorities as well as independent accounting and posting of e.g. AP, bank, accruals.
• Strong analytical skills and SAP knowledge.
• Experienced in common finance applications, including MS Office tools.
• Good communication and language skills in Italian and English are required.
• Equivalent degree in Business/Accounting e.g. Bachelor/Master of Business Administration.
• Proactive, positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
• As a person you have a team working spirit and precise working style.
• Working under pressure with flexibility is familiar to you.
• You enjoy working in an international environment and communicating with colleagues from different cultures.
