Senior Field Application Engineer

As a market leader in Consumer and SMB networking and a key player in the ISP market, TP-LINK ITALIA is looking for an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer to strengthen its Field / Network Engineering Team.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in supporting major Internet Service Providers and key customers, contributing directly to the growth and development of TP-Link’s ISP business in Italy. This role offers high visibility and close collaboration with both local teams and TP-Link Corporate R&D.

The Senior Field Application Engineer will be involved in the design, validation and deployment of complex networking solutions, acting as a trusted technical advisor for customers and internal stakeholders. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical best practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide advanced pre- and post-sales technical support to ISPs and key customers.

· Design, validate and troubleshoot complex network architectures (fixed and wireless).

· Act as technical interface between customers, sales teams and TP-Link Corporate R&D.

· Support field trials, proof-of-concept activities and large-scale deployments.

· Deliver technical training and workshops to customers and internal teams.

· Contribute to product feedback, certification processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.

· 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering role within the ISP, networking or telecommunications environment.

· Strong knowledge of IP networking and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).

· Proven experience with Broadband access technologies (Fiber, xDSL, FWA, 5G).

· Solid understanding of Wireless LAN technologies, network security and QoS.

· Experience with cloud-based network management systems and/or IoT solutions is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex technical scenarios.

· Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken).

· Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.

· Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

· Availability to travel within the national territory
