Senior Expert - Automotive Product Development

Experteer Overview As a Senior Expert in Product Development, you help clients tackle critical automotive challenges and drive long-term capability building. You collaborate with client leadership to shape hypotheses and design tailored, high-impact solutions in EVs and CASE technologies. You lead transformational programs that develop client capabilities and measurable outcomes, while shaping McKinsey’s approach to automotive product development. This role offers global collaboration, mentorship, and a platform to influence product strategy and sustainability at scale. You will work across our Operations Practice and McKinsey Digital to deliver integrated, data-driven results.

Responsabilità

• 10+ years in automotive product development.
• Experience in roles such as Chief Engineer or similar with full-vehicle management responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of full-vehicle architecture, systems engineering, and PLM.
• Experience with EVs and CASE technologies.
• Familiarity with advanced product development tools and methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale product development projects.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with practical, high-impact delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client collaboration.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
