Senior DWH Engineer - Snowflake / SQL / ETL - International Company

For one of our projects with an International company, NTT DATA is looking for a Senior DWH Engineer to work remotely full-time. This role will be focused on Backend rather than Frontend.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and optimize the data warehouse architecture : Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable DWH solutions in Snowflake, including data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and performance tuning of complex SQL workloads.
• Build and manage data pipelines (ETL/ELT): Create and orchestrate robust data integration processes using Matillion, ensuring seamless ingestion from e-commerce, POS, and ERP systems with high data quality and reliability.
• Translate retail business needs into data solutions : Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data models and reporting that support key KPIs such as sell-through, margins, stock turnover, and omni-channel performance.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance : Implement best practices for data quality, metadata management, and access control (RBAC), ensuring compliance with GDPR and cloud security standards.

Your profile:

• At least 8+ years of IT working experience, including solid work experience in multinational companies.
• Strong expertise in Data Warehouse development and management (DWH design, optimization).
• Deep understanding of fashion/retail business processes and KPIs (sell-through rates, margins, stock turnover, markdowns, omni-channel metrics).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning).
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (cloud DWH platform), Matillion (ETL/ELT tool), and Strategy (front-end/reporting tool).
• Solid data modeling skills (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience with data governance (quality, metadata management) and integration from e-commerce, POS, ERP systems.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices (RBAC, encryption, GDPR compliance).
• Agile collaboration skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Italian speaking is a plus
• Fluent oral and written in English is a must.
