The Senior Drilling Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the south of Italy, responsible for overseeing day-to-day drilling operations and ensuring safe, efficient well delivery. This role coordinates drilling and completion activities, supervises rig and service crews, and ensures compliance with Wellynx’s QHSE standards and client requirements. The Senior Drilling Supervisor monitors well performance, optimizes drilling parameters, and addresses operational issues in real time to maintain progress and mitigate risk. The role includes reviewing drilling programs, supporting well engineering decisions, maintaining accurate operational records, and preparing daily reports. Collaboration with engineering, completion, and production teams, as well as external contractors and regulators, is essential to achieve operational and project objectives. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills with proven experience leading drilling crews and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Hands-on expertise in drilling and completion operations, including wellsite execution and adherence to technical programs. Solid background in drilling engineering, including well planning, performance optimization, and operational risk management. Academic or professional foundation in petroleum engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Extensive experience in onshore drilling operations, preferably in upstream oil and gas or related energy sectors. Thorough understanding of QHSE standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices for well operations. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, manage complex operational challenges, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. Proficiency in drilling reporting tools and well management software; fluency in English, with additional language skills considered an asset. Willingness to work extended hours on site and comply with rotational or shift patterns as required by operations.
