For a Leading Global Group with a multi-billion turnover TRANSEARCH is hiring a Regional Procurement Director for the Europe & Asia Area.
You will be responsible for:
- Reaching the Procurement targets set for your assigned Area;
- Sharing the Group's Procurement related guidelines, procedures and models, ensuring that they are all correctly applied by the Procurement Managers of the assigned Area.
- Functionally coordinating the Procurement Managers of the assigned Area, to guarantee that processes concerning the Procurement of goods, services and sub-contracts have all been correctly structured, and that all targets set with the Corporate department have also been reached.
- Collaborating with the Operations / other Competence Line Managers ensuring that all framework agreement conditions have been applied, and that all procurement plans have been implemented.
- Supporting and supervising commercial and contractual negotiation activities related with Procurement and/or variations of supplies.
- Collecting and consolidating, in a single plan, the needs of the assigned Area of one's geographical area, while also analyzing the plan, in coordination with Corporate Dept and the other Area Competence lines, to identify the reasons that led to any variations, and how to correctly carry out the relevant corrective measures.
- Supporting the Corporate Procurement Dept in defining the Commodity Strategies and ensuring the implementation of the approved one in the assigned Area;
- Analyzing and solving specific issues connected to the procurement process of the assigned Area.
- Identifying new vendors, supported by Vendor Management, while implementing qualifying and updating processes of the vendor list, and defining ongoing improvement plans.
- Collaborating with the Business Development & Tender department, in:
- collecting the data needed to study the bids and/or project initiatives
- dimensioning of the Procurement structure, with regard to one's area of responsibility and participation, while coordinating with the Group HR & Organization department, for the resource selection process.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering;
- 10/15 years of experience in a similar role, within multinational contexts;
- Industrial-sector background;
- Consolidated experience in budget planning and monitoring activities;
- Fully proficient in technical and strategic negotiations;
- Consolidated experience in supply-base selection, development and management activities;
- Contractual expertise (especially in framework agreements);
- Attested value and cost analysis skills, and market and benchmarking analysis;
- Fluent English.
Preference will be given to candidates offering the following:
- Previous experience in the European area;
- Management of International Procurement teams located in different countries.
