We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Engineer who is excited to jump into the realm of Data Management and Data Quality.

Tasks

• Oversee data pipelines and ensure alignment with data governance, quality, and compliance standards, in line with the approved data architecture.
• Design, update, and maintain data lineage and dictionary in collaboration with data analysts, IT asset owners, and the IT Unit.
• Develop and test Data Quality (DQ) controls and remediation actions in testing environments, proposing tested solutions for implementation to responsible asset owners.
• Perform data manipulation and transformation in testing environments to support data governance objectives and requirements.
• Establish data governance standards and best practices for data quality and security, including creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering. Consulting and banking experience is preferred.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Economics, or related discipline. Master’s Degree is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably Azure Infrastructure (Azure Data Warehouse, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Purview).
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python), proficiency in database management, and skills in developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Data Architecture, design, and implementation of new data structures is an asset.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
