Our client, an international leading QSR company currently undergoing a major expansion across Italy, is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to lead and ensure the successful execution of new openings across Italy, guaranteeing timelines, permits, budget control and construction quality standards.


Reporting directly to the Expansion & Construction Director, this role will play a key part in coordinating and supervising external engineering firms, contractors and suppliers, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and according to company standards.


This role combines on-site project coordination with regular travel across Italy, supporting the successful execution of multiple openings in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead construction projects and new store/restaurant openings across Italy.
  • Coordinate external engineering firms, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project timelines, milestones and opening schedules are successfully achieved.
  • Supervise and secure all required permits and licenses.
  • Manage CAPEX, cost control and budget deviations.
  • Monitor construction progress from both technical and operational perspectives.
  • Ensure execution quality and compliance with company construction standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Construction team and support day-to-day project execution.
  • Act as the key point of contact between Operations, Expansion and external partners.
  • Identify and solve on-site issues in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Around 15 years of experience within construction, site management or project execution.
  • Strong hands-on construction background, ideally coming from a contractor or construction company environment.
  • Previous experience managing retail, supermarket, QSR, hospitality or multi-site openings will be highly valued.
  • Proven experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, budgets and project execution.
  • Strong knowledge of permits, construction processes and site operations.
  • Fluent Italian and professional English are required.
  • Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Availability to travel frequently across Italy.
  • Pragmatic, execution-oriented and hands-on profile with strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
